WQED Film Academy Lite

Introducing WQED Film Academy Lite.
WQED Film Academy Lite is a youth education program in digital media arts and filmmaking. Film Academy Lite is open to 7th graders through 8th graders.
Spring WQED Film Academy Lite is a three week film education program where students will learn filmmaking from start to finish- from pre-production to videography to post-production and editing. Film Academy Lite will be offered Wednesdays, 6-8PM.
Program Details
The cost of the program is $200 per student. Financial assistance is available due to the generous support from foundations and the Pittsburgh community. Payment in full is due at the time of registration to secure a spot. Financial assistance recipients must provide confirmation via email or phone to claim the spot.
WQED Film Academy Lite uses a rolling admissions process and will notify all applicants of their application status within 2 weeks prior to the start of the semester. At that time, applicants will also be notified of financial assistance awarded, if applicable. Limited spaces are available in each session.

Fall WQED Film Academy Lite is a three-week film education program where students will learn filmmaking from start to finish—from pre-production to videography to post-production and editing. Film Academy Lite will be offered Wednesdays, 6-8PM. There are two sessions of Film Academy Lite this fall:
October 4 – 18, 2023
OR
November 1 – 15, 2023
If applying for full scholarships, this application is due Wednesday, September 20th (for the session beginning October 4th) or Wednesday, October 18th (for the session beginning November 1st).
